"Venere bella", Giulio Cesare, Aria: Cleopatra, Act 2 scene 4

  1. Dame-Jensen cleans up with this aria from Giulio Cesare. Clean livin' is it's own reward.

  2. I really think that Dame-Jensen sould have either dyed her hair black or worn a black wig to make the part of Cleopatra more plausible. Anyway, she had a melodic, sing-song quality to her voice and one cannot deny that it is a positive aria. I also noticed the profusion of string instruments played in the orchestra.

  3. Good afternoon Barbara: Here's Natalie Dessay, with black hair, as requested. The boob, in case you were wondering, is fake...;)
