I am not a proponent of one night stands, but Waters has a point in his profanity. You do not need an Ivy League education to be learned. All it takes is a profuse amount of reading. Everyone goes to the Web for edification, but I believe that one's vocabulary and social skills can be improved by books. What Waters does not address is the fact that the bookstore may be obsolete in 20 years, except for collectors. Everyone orders from Amazon, with something in mind, rather than browsing through bookstores. I have a backlog of books to read, because I bite off more than I can chew. I will water down Waters' comment and say that if you meet someone who never reads, then you might not be compatible.
