Argerich seems to have been born to play Bach. Her performance was careful, delicate and the notes reminded me of gentle raindrops. Vanity is not her forte, and I am proud of you Jim. She is actually too pure for vanity-not even her fingernails were polished despite the fact that she knew full well that they would be filmed. I guess that she has made such a name for herself that she calls the shots. What I want to know about the piano is about what is written on the side. Of course, I know of Steinways, but I believe hers said "Steinway & Sons (and underneath) Suisse Romande. I gather Suisse means Switzerland, but I am perplexed. Uplifting performance!
Martha with lunch.
