This is very funny and SO true! My brother-in-law is a fiercely competitive man and, as a result, he always succeeds on the tennis court, as he also has on Wall Street. He placed # 1 at Lawrenceville on that circuit and, no matter how long it goes in between matches, he always wins. Fiercely competitive!!!
I did not even mention, "The New Yorker" or its humorists. My all-time favorite New Yorker author and cartoonist is the late James Thurber. I grew up listening to his genre of comedy and looking at his artwork, and I loved it. Recently, I went to a lecture, (probably motivated by my late father in heaven) at the 92nd Street Y. Thurber's daughter was there as was a panel of New Yorker authors/cartoonists also. I got what I came for - a hearty chuckle!
